BACK TO BASICS FOR OUR BLOGS

You may well have read our recent articles about office chair selection. These generated a number of interesting conversations so we are now looking at the Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessment process. It is surprising how many organisations are either unfamiliar with this requirement or have dismissed it as irrelevant in the age of Agile Working. We still believe this is really important, even for those who hardly spend any time at a traditional office desk. A proper DSE process ensures that individuals get training about what they should be trying to achieve, why that is important and how to achieve it. They can then apply this knowledge to optimise their posture (as far as practicable) wherever they work. More here.

SIT-STAND: DISPELLING MORE MYTHS

mythsWhilst we are putting the world to rights about DSE, we thought it was about time to set the record straight (again!) about sit-stand desks and their place in a wellbeing programme. Our recent blog examines the many good reasons for choosing sit-stand as part of a broader wellbeing programme but also questions some of the claims made online and by furniture salesmen wanting to upsell from a traditional sitting desk.

INVESTORS IN PEOPLE: STILL RELEVANT?

IiP-logoLast month we asked you about the significance of Investors in People as an accreditation. Not many people responded so this month we are making it clear that you have a very good chance of winning a £200 Red Letter Days gift voucher for about two minutes of your time! The context is that we have had Investors in People for nearly 12 years and Investors in People Gold since 2013. Would that be significant if you were considering us as a supply partner? Just answer the two questions here.

VELA & MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

vela250x150We last mentioned the Vela chair series exactly a year ago in July 2018. This specialist product genuinely improves the lives of the individuals for whom it is suited and we have been delighted with the many satisfied clients we have supported. In particular, we have found that we can dramatically improve the lives of people living with MS. The manufacturer has just launched a focussed campaign for MS sufferers in the UK and we are proud to be a sponsor. Find more product information on our web page here or read more about Vela and MS here.

PROJECT CONVERSATIONS

project_conversationsAlthough our day-to-day (and better known) activities are still principally those products and services that derive from DSE assessments, our project conversations continue to become more and more diverse. At the moment, our web site still only partly reflects this so it is worth mentioning that, since the last eBulletin, we have discussed, specified, quoted and/or supplied trading desks, acoustic screens, a glass-walled meeting room, café seating, 24 hour control room seating, a reception counter, storage wall, a bespoke wood-veneer desk, stud walls, a kitchen area and acoustic screens. From a simple office refresh to a fully project-managed fit-out, we have the resources, product portfolio and contacts to meet your needs. Contact us for further information.
