Over the last few years, we have seen some brilliant and some disastrous transitions from traditional workplace designs (and many in between). In the worst cases, employees go home Friday night and return Monday morning to discover their desk has gone! At the other extreme, employers invest in Change Management programmes with comprehensive training and communications. This ensures personnel understand the grand plan and how it will benefit them. However, we often find that ergonomics considerations are overlooked or misunderstood. One area that is not usually given enough thought is the migration to tablet use. In such cases, G-Hold can be a simple way to address issues that arise. For further ideas about Agile Working posture and support, look here.

Motus_ConsoleUseCloseUpOur Motus 3000 is now well established as one of the leading sit-stand desks on the market. Combining high specification with a surprisingly low retail price, it has become our best-selling product from the range. The popularity of Motus owes much to its simplicity, with easy controls enabling users to switch positions throughout the working day. The 4-memory controller ensures that no time is lost between height changes and that comfort, energy and productivity are kept high. The width-adjustable two-stage steel frame also adheres to EU height standards and is available in a wide range of sizes and worktop finishes. Learn more here about a sit-stand desk that brings so much more than just comfort!

IiP-logoWe have held Investors in People certification since 2007 and IiP Gold since 2013. Our accreditation will be reviewed under a new scheme in October and we are considering our options. I thought this might be a good opportunity to get feedback from our wider community about how IiP is perceived these days. To this end, we have created a really simple (two question) survey and I would be most grateful if you would spare a few minutes to respond. Obviously, there’s a prize draw for participants! To see the survey and find out about the draw prize, just follow this link.

web_siteIt is just over a year since we launched our current web site. Obviously, detail changes take place daily but we have just completed a major simplification and configuration exercise with the Healthy Working section. Targeting new furniture projects, it demonstrates that we are so much more than the ‘bad back chair people’! In recent years, we have taken the specialist thinking, methodology and innovation that we have developed over the last 27 years and applied it to the project market. From a simple desk-for-desk replacement to a full agile working redesign with ancillary trades and project management, we are happy to apply our unique insight and skills.
