HAPPY NEW YEAR!

headerimage01-2019

2019 may prove to be the most volatile year in our recent experience. The political uncertainty will inevitably impact the economy and thereby our own individual work and domestic lives. Since it seems that even those ‘in the know’ have very little clue what is really going to happen, we have decided to adopt a cautious but positive Business As Usual approach to the range of products and services we continue to offer. The picture sums it up!

HEALTH % WELLBEING @ WORK 2019

health-wellbeing-2019This is one of the big events in our annual calendar and we hope to see you on Stand 67 (right next to our friends from Bakker Elkhuizen). The conference programme has now been published and can be found here. If you would prefer a pdf copy, just email us. Our stand preparations are well advanced and, in next month’s eBulletin, we shall be previewing what we plan to exhibit.

PRODUCT SHOWCASE TOUR

showcase2019We shall be repeating the national tour again during 2019 with some venue changes and extra dates. The first locations are already finalised and we have provisional dates for the remainder. This is your opportunity to see all the latest products and compare them alongside long-term best sellers. We shall be displaying a comprehensive range of seating, accessories and sit-stand furniture so it will be your one-stop-shop to update your product knowledge. We shall also include short seminar sessions based on our webinar series (see below). This is all completely free (but please register so that we can anticipate attendee numbers). Full details on our Training & Events page.

DSE ASSESSOR TRAINING

dse2019As well as a comprehensive understanding of the legislation and process, the best DSE Assessor Training involves hands-on experience of products and equipment that improve posture, comfort and productivity. Our national programme of one day courses colocates with our Product Showcase tour so that the training can be provided in context. Uniquely, our course is also CIEHF-Accredited and IRSM-Approved. See the schedule or make your booking here. We also run in-house courses for employers who prefer to host their own events for personnel. Contact our Training Manager to discuss your bespoke requirements.

WEBINARS

webinar2019If you prefer to broaden your knowledge from the comfort of your own workplace, we have scheduled a programme of online seminars covering some of our own in-house training sessions (such as Email Management) as well as our established ergonomics and workplace topics. All sessions are free and will last about 30 minutes including questions. Attendees will receive a copy of the presentation and we are happy to address follow-up questions after each event. See the programme and make your booking here. For details of our in-house webinar services for your own organisation, please contact our Training Manager.

CAN ERGONOMICS IMPACT OFFICE CULTURE?

office_cultureIn our recent blogs, we have been exploring how workplace design impacts corporate culture, health and wellbeing. Our long-standing involvement in the business of improving posture and comfort links directly to today’s strategic conversations about wellbeing in the workplace. Although they may often be discussed under other headings, ergonomics and human factors are a crucial element in addressing today’s workplace  mental and physical health issues. Read more here.

WEB SITE FEEDBACK

survey2018Many thanks to all those who contributed to our survey, especially those who made specific suggestions about improvements and new features. These are all either being considered or already in the pipeline. In particular, we are increasing the frequency of our blogs and (as outlined above) have extended the range and frequency of our webinars. You may also recall that we had a prize draw for the survey participants. The winner of the Red Letter Day voucher was Karen Willcock of Physiofusion Bolton.
